Kansas City Technicians Level 1, 2, & 3

Compensation

  • Level 1 – Starting $25 an hour
  • Level 2 – Starting $30 an hour
  • Level 3 – Starting $35 an hour
    • Weekly Pay, with overtime
    • Medical Insurance (up to 90% of employee’s premium paid by employer.)
    • Dental & Vision (50 % of employee’s premium paid by the employer.)

Qualifications for Level 1

  • High school education or GED equivalent required.
  • Able to work Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks, including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements, including a 50-pound lift test.
  • Dependable Transportation.
  • One to three years’ experience
    • Operating machinery or medium to heavy-duty trucks
    • Basic troubleshooting and repairing machinery or medium to heavy-duty trucks.

Basic welding is a plus but not a requirement.

Qualifications for Level 2

  • All level 1 qualifications.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic set of tools.
  • Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • One to two years’ experience.
    • OEM or Aftermarket diagnostic software & scanning equipment.
    • A basic understanding of power trains, engines, and general machine performance is expected.
    • Troubleshooting and repairing A/C systems

Basic welding is preferred but not required.

Qualifications for Level 3

  • All level 1 & 2 qualifications
  • Robust set of tools
  • Three to five years’ experience.
    • Working independently in the field solving issues
    • Proficient with scanning equipment, both electrical and hydraulic schematics, and trouble trees to solve issues.
    • Connecting with OEM representatives for more technical issues.
    • Communicate and provide options and solutions for advanced issues.

Basic welding is needed.

Shop Lead / Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Shop Lead / Foreman to lead industrial shop operations while remaining hands-on with advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing On-highway vocational trucks, and all upfitted accessories and attachments, including cranes, welders, hydraulic tool circuits, etc.

Compensation

  • $90,000+ per year based on experience

Experience Required:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with diagnosing electrical issues with or without schematics.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with engine software diagnosis tools, either Cummins Insite, Diesel Laptop, or something comparable.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Communicate directly with customers regarding truck-related issues and upfitter concerns, ensuring clear understanding and appropriate resolution.
  • Collaborate with the on-highway service advisor to develop accurate repair estimates.
  • Assign repair work to in-shop technicians based on skill level, workload, and job priority.
  • Assist technicians with diagnostics and oversee repair activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support the parts ordering process by ensuring correct parts are identified, ordered, and correctly assigned to the appropriate repair tickets.
  • Maintain a strong shop presence to guide technicians, keep work focused, and improve overall productivity.
  • Mentor and train technicians on proper diagnostic procedures and effective use of provided tools, fostering a positive and professional learning environment.
  • Remain available to travel for required training classes and continuing education to stay current with industry standards and technology.
